Mindfulness: A Cancer Survivorship Program

Treatment and recovery through cancer can be stressful. Practicing mindfulness has been shown to help with stress, fatigue, and sleep problems and reduce symptoms associated with anxiety and depression. Dr. Tara Feil, clinical psychologist, will discuss how mindfulness can promote health and healing and teach mindfulness meditations that can continue to be practiced on your own at home.

Held in the CHI St. Alexius Health Boniface Auditorium (enter through the east patient entrance).

More people are surviving cancer than ever before, but it can still impact many aspects of your life. CHI St. Alexius Health hosts a variety of programs to help cancer survivors, caregivers, and family, manage the different challenges cancer presents. The sessions are meant to support patients and loved ones whether they are going through active treatment, in surveillance, or grieving the loss of a loved one to cancer.
