Bismarck’s Auxiliary Donates to Medical Center

CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck’s Auxiliary presented the Medical Center with a $25,000 donation during the Auxiliary’s annual business meeting. The Auxiliary is comprised of 53 members, who host several fundraisers a year and volunteer their time to run the hospital’s gift shop.

“The Auxiliary members work tirelessly year-round to help patients and visitors at CHI St. Alexius Health,” said Tanya Olheiser, Coordinator of Volunteer Services. “Each member generously adds their time and talents and this donation is an incredible testament to their dedication to helping the Medical Center.”

In 2017, some items purchased through funds donated by the Auxiliary include wheel chairs, a power exam chair, an addition for the Gift of Life wall, and baby news discharge books.

“Bismarck is growing and changing as is CHI St. Alexius Health,” states Olheiser. “We are committed to providing quality health care to the residents of our region and the CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Auxiliary is a partner in reaching that goal. Our fund raising efforts have enabled us to provide equipment which is beneficial to the patients served by the medical center. Our volunteers have donated thousands of hours making our patients’ stay more pleasant, as well as saving dollars for CHI St, Alexius Health.”
