CHI St. Alexius Health is proud to announce LeAnn K. Osadchuk, clinical coordinator, CHI St. Alexius Health and University of Mary School of Radiology, and Melissa Seelye, radiology imaging supervisor, received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award for the extraordinary support they provide to Specialist Cole Renner of the 957 Engineer Company, ND Army National Guard. Cole is a radiology technologist student and is currently deployed.
The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve. “Thank you to Melissa, LeAnn, and CHI St. Alexius for the support they have provided to Cole, allowing him to serve as a citizen soldier while also being a valuable team member at the medical center,” states Lieutenant Colonel Derek Kuntz, North Dakota National Guard. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units. “We certainly would not be able to accomplish our mission without the support of CHI St. Alexius and without great soldiers like Cole Renner.”
“I am deeply honored and privileged to be receiving this award,” states LeAnn. “We are honored that Cole chose to complete his internship in radiologic technology at CHI St. Alexius. When he returns from deployment, he will resume his position in the senior class. We look forward to his return.”
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have been selected to receive this award,” states Melissa. “We are very supportive of the National Guard and its mission. This is a team effort and we can’t do it alone.”
ESGR is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between service members and their employers.
