More people are surviving cancer than ever before, but it can still impact many aspects of someone’s life. CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck is hosting a variety of hands-on workshops to help cancer survivors and caretakers manage the different challenges cancer presents.

Learn about resources that are available to cancer patients and their families from the American Cancer Society. This session will be an interactive live Zoom session in Boniface Auditorium. - August 2, 2022 | Healing Art Workshop - Art from the Heart
Current and former cancer patients, their families, and caregivers are invited to join. Each attendee will create a 16 × 20 inch acrylic painting at no charge. Limited seating is available. Learn about headwear such as wigs, extensions, toppers, warmers, and other accessories. Skincare tips for dry and irritated skin will also be discussed. - September 20, 2022 | Exercise to the Bone!
Learn safe and effective exercises to build bone strength before, during, and after cancer treatment. Discussion on how cancer treatment and hormone loss can break down the bone. Learn about treatment options and prevention techniques. - October 11, 2022 | Humbly Amazed
Published author, Christine Shepherd, will talk about her and her husband’s journey through cancer. This session will give the perspective and challenges faced by the family/caregiver of cancer patients. - November 1, 2022 | Health, Self, and Wealth: What to Consider
When it comes to health, self, and wealth, where do you even begin? Financial Advisor, David Wald will cover all things to take into consideration. - November 9, 2022 | Cooking Class
Learn about high protein foods. Get tips and tricks for dealing with sore mouths, aversions to smells, etc. Ingredients will be provided, and you will have the option of making snacks during the session. - December 7, 2022 | Yoga & Stress Relief
Join us for 30 minutes of yoga and 30 minutes of other stress-relieving exercise in this interactive session. - December 13, 2022 | Lymphedema, what is it?
Stephen will talk about the signs and symptoms of lymphedema and how it is treated.
