Devils Lake, ND ― Due to the increased amount influenza cases in the Lake Region this year, CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake is restricting visitation to all departments of the hospital.
Restrictions:
- Children under 12 years of age are prohibited from visiting patients
- Visitation is restricted to immediate family only; immediate family members not vaccinated against influenza will be required to wear a mask
- ER, Lab and Radiology patients who are experiencing flu-like symptoms or who have not received the influenza vaccine are required to wear a mask
The restrictions will remain in place until the threat of influenza has passed or returned to normal seasonal level.
While we realize these temporary steps may cause inconvenience to family members and visitors, we appreciate your understanding and support as we make every effort to ensure the safety of our patients and newborns.
The general public is reminded it is not too late to vaccinate against influenza. In addition, it is important to always cover your cough and practice good hand hygiene.
