The 32nd Annual Wibaux Health Fair Blood Draw was held on Thursday, March 25, at the Wibaux County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Wibaux, Montana.
The annual event is sponsored by MSU Extension Wibaux County and the Wibaux County Health Department, with registration and laboratory services provided by CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson and Beach Family Clinic.
After cancelling the 2020 Health Fair due to COVID concerns, the Health Fair Committee was pleased to bring this community benefit back to the people of Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota. This year's event was limited to blood draws by appointment only, and took place at a new location which allowed for more spacing and better patient traffic flow.
Patti Goroski of the Wibaux County Extension Office shares, "As a result of the Health Fair, participants can have their blood work completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. We completed blood draws for 226 people, and we hope that the Wibaux Health Fair attendance and participation can go back to record numbers once again in 2022. Due to awareness and prevention, individuals are seeking medical advice as needed. Lives are saved through preventative measures and improved health habits."
