Human Performance Therapy Center
The Human Performance Center (HPC) at CHI St. Alexius Health is home to multiple departments and programs dedicated to the restoration of normal function as well as the development of movement and function.
Restoration is made possible through a wide variety of medical services. These services include: cardiac rehabilitation, myofascial therapy, occupational medicine, pain management, physical therapy, and sports medicine/athletic training. Your physician can recommend which service would best meet your restoration needs.
The development and refinement of human motion and function is made possible by asking the body to do more than it has done in the past. This is made possible by the application of the most scientifically-based methodology available for developing athletic skill and movement.

One of the best ways to improve a skill whether it be hitting a softball, running, or a golf swing is to have that skill analyzed by an expert utilizing video. By using video analysis and having an understanding of how the movement pattern is to take place the HPC staff is able to assess the movement pattern and make recommendations for improved function and possible injury prevention.
The analysis takes about an hour and a half. Some individuals have come in for an analysis while they are recovering from an injury. If you are still recovering from an injury your normal movement may be altered. It is best to have this analysis performed when you are fully recovered so that we have an accurate understanding of your normal movement.
