Williston Launches Virtual Care Visits

CHI St. Alexius Health patients can now schedule virtual visits, via Zoom, with their primary and specialty care providers. This is a convenient and safe care option for patients to get high quality care when they need it, without leaving the comfort of their home. Functioning much like a Skype or Facetime call, a virtual visit uses live, secure, and HIPAA compliant video technology to allow patients to directly and securely see and speak with their physician through the convenience of their mobile device, tablet or computer.

To schedule a face-to-face or virtual care appointment patients can call the Primary Care Clinic at 701.572.7651 or Specialty Clinic at 701.774.7500, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

During the virtual visit, physicians are able to provide a treatment plan, just as they would for an in-person appointment, including the option to prescribe medication and request follow-up care.

“We are pleased to be able to provide our patients yet another convenient way to improve access to the care they need,” says Dan Bjerknes, president of CHI St. Alexius Health. “Not only will virtual visits allow our patients to consult with their physicians without having to leave their home, they also add an additional layer of safety during the current COVID-19 pandemic.”

This is another example of how CHI St. Alexius Health has ramped up their services to help care for patients safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. CHI St. Alexius Health is also leveraging additional digital tools such as AI-powered online self-assessments and triage to further reduce the transmission of the virus and care for the community.

Patients currently experiencing possible symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) should call their provider to determine the best care option for them. Anyone experiencing severe symptoms of a respiratory illness, such as a high fever or difficulty breathing, should call 911.
