WILLISTON, N.D. - CHI St. Alexius Health continues our commitment to support Williston schools through donations, education and flu vaccinations as we begin the 2020-21 school year.
CHI St. Alexius Health has a few things in store to support our educators during this time:
- Hand sanitizer - Mini hand sanitizer for teachers to use throughout the day.
- Education - A COVID-19 special edition newsletter with tips on navigating COVID-19 this year!
- School Supplies - Although the school supply drive looks a little bit different this year, CHI St. Alexius Health employees are still giving monetary gifts (rather than tangible school supplies). This money will be used to purchase gift cards for schools to use where they need it most.
- Vaccination Clinic - In partnership with the NDDoH, CHI St. Alexius Health has the opportunity to offer a limited number of FREE off-site flu vaccinations for teachers in September. CHI St. Alexius Health is working with the local school district to organize this off-site event. Additional details will be forthcoming.
“Every year our schools and teachers meet the calling to provide exceptional education to our youth.” said Dan Bjerknes, president of CHI St. Alexius Health. “This year they are also tasked to navigate the educational system amid COVID-19. As their partner in health, we are here to support them.” CHI St. Alexius Health encourages everyone to follow standard COVID-19 precautions.
About CHI St. Alexius Health
CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a unified mission: nurturing the healing ministry of the Church while creating healthier communities. In 1920 the sisters of mercy came to Williston in hopes of bringing healthcare to the community. 100 years later we are still serving their mission of providing health care through Christ’s healing ministry. CHI St. Alexius Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. It was created in February 2019 through the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health. CommonSpirit Health is committed to creating healthier communities, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring every person has access to quality health care. With its national office in Chicago and a team of approximately 150,000 employees and 25,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, CommonSpirit Health operates 142 hospitals and more than 700 care sites across 21 states. In FY 2018, Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health had combined revenues of $29.2 billion and provided $4.2 billion in charity care, community benefit, and unreimbursed government programs.
