ONEOK donates to CHI Williston Foundation to Purchase Crucial Disinfecting Equipment

WILLISTON, N.D. – The CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Foundation is excited to announce a $10,000 donation from ONEOK toward the purchase of state-of-the-art disinfection technology equipment.

This UV Light Strike Robot kills some of the most dangerous bacteria, viruses, spores and fungi commonly found in hospitals, including COVID-19, MRSA, C. diff, VRE, CRE, norovirus and the influenza virus. During three five-minute disinfection cycles, the Robot treats all of those high-touch surfaces with intense ultraviolet light to eliminate those pathogens that may linger after the manual cleaning process.

“In light of recent times and the COVID-19 coronavirus, the priority of fundraising by the Foundation Department was refocused to the purchase of disinfection technology equipment that reduces the incidence of health care associated infections,” said Janna Lutz, Foundation Director at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston. “We are grateful to ONEOK for their generous donation toward the purchase of this cutting-edge technology.”

This robot will add an extra layer of protection to our already existing cleaning/sanitizing policies and protocols to keep our patients, their families, and hospital staff safe.  For more information on how you can join the fight from the sidelines, contact the Williston Foundation at 701.774.7466.
