Nurses in the CHI St. Alexius Health Emergency Department have banded together to create a Kid's Corner for their littlest patients.
As a department they have donated and collected countless items, ready to go at a moment's notice when children arrive in the ER in need of foster care. These items have been placed in 'go bags' for patients aged 0-2. These bags include age appropriate clothes, blankets, diapers and other supplies for the child to take home.
"We get to help people on some of their best days and on some of their worst. This project was created so that on a day that could be one of their worst, this simple act could change everything," said Erin Anderson, ER nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health.
