Anyone with measles symptoms (cough, runny nose, fever, rash, and watery eyes that are red and sometimes itchy) or who has been exposed to someone with measles should call us at (701) 770-4915 before visiting the hospital or mobile measles unit, or (701) 713-6497 before coming to the walk-in clinic.
When should you get tested for Measles?
If you believe you have been exposed to measles and now are having symptoms (cough, runny nose, fever and watery eyes that are red and sometimes itchy accompanied by a rash that starts on the face and spreads to the rest of the body) please call your primary care provider to determine if you need testing for measles based on your symptoms. Please call (701) 713-6497 before entering our Walk In Clinic or Primary Care Clinic.
This helps us protect other patients and staff as measles is very contagious, please make sure you call ahead and let us know you are coming.
If you are unvaccinated and have been exposed to measles please quarantine for 21 days. It is important to remember, you cannot test out of quarantine, you are only able to test once symptoms are present.
However, the ER is still available for screening and stabilization for any patients that present to our hospital. If you have a life-threatening emergency - such as chest pain, trouble breathing or stroke symptoms - do not delay care. Come to the ER or call 911 immediately.
Your health and safety are our top priority.
