FAQ's
Will I be billed for all services on one bill?
Your bill will include services from CHI St. Alexius Health and CHI St. Alexius Health employed physicians. You will receive a separate bill for services provided by non-CHI physicians.
What other bills will I receive?
You may receive additional bills from the emergency room physicians. This bill will come from Healthsource. Also, radiologists who reviewed any x-rays you may have had will send you a bill. There are two possible bills you will receive from BRA/Bismarck Radiology Associates or VRad. If you were treated by a non-CHI employed physician (ex. Mid Dakota Clinic or Bone & Joint), you will receive a separate bill from them. If you have questions regarding those bills, please contact their offices directly at the numbers listed on the statement(s) you receive.
When will I get my first CHI bill?
You will receive your first statement AFTER your insurance processes the claim.
Will my whole family be on one bill?
We do guarantor billing. The guarantor is the person legally responsible for all charges incurred by the patient. If the patient is over age 18 in North Dakota, they are listed as their own guarantor and will receive a separate statement.
When should I pay my Copay?
We encourage you to make your copay at the time of service.
Why is the billing customer service address and the remit to address different?
The customer service center address, 1310 East Main Avenue, 1st floor, is the physical location of our customer service department. The remit to address on the statement is for the bank as they handle all deposits. CHI St. Alexius Health and our clinics have a consolidated business office.
